ബിൽ-ഘരാം

سَعْدَيْكَ يا ذَا الغَرَامِ
إلى غِياثِ الأنامِ
مُحْيِي الدِّينِ الخِيَامِ
الخُطْبِ صَفْوِ الكِرَامِ

وَهُوَ الَّذِي إِذْ خَالَ جُنْدِي
ما معكَ يا أهلَ السُّهْدِ
قَدْ قالَ يا جُنْدُ عِندِي
دينارُ ميمٍ خِتامِ

حَتّى أَتَوْهُ جَمِيعًا
لأنْ يَتُوبُوا رُجُوعًا
مِمّا جَنَوْهُ شَنِيعًا
لِلسِّرِّ في ذاكَ المَقَامِ

رَآهُ بِفَجٍّ سَقِيمًا
مِنْهُ ابْتِغاءً يُقِيمَا
لَمّا غَدَا مُسْتَقِيمًا
نَادَاهُم: يا خَوَامِي

إِنِّي لِي دِينُ الرَّشَادِ
أَحْيَيْتُمُونِي كَي يُنَادِي
لَكُمْ بِهِ كُلُّ نَادِي
يا مُحْيِي الدِّينِ حَامِي

وقالَ لِمَن أتَاهُ
يَشْكُرُ بِهِمْ فَتَاهُ
في أُذُنِهِ: قُلْ مَتَى
تَأْتِينِي بالاهْتِمَامِ؟

قد قالَ عَبْدُ القَادِرِ
يا أُمَّ مَلْجَمْ سِيرِي
لهِ اللُّطْفُ تَذْيِيرِي
تَنَلْ حُصُولَ المَرَامِ

وَعاشَ الخِضْرُ سَلَامٍ
بِضْعًا وَتِسْعِينَ عَامٍ
مِمّا حَبَاهُ الغُلَامُ
حَفَّاظُ خَيْرِ الكَلَامِ

بِسِنٍّ سَبْعَ كَمِيلٍ
سَبْعَ شُهُورٍ خَلِيلٍ
هَذَا فَيْضُ الجَلِيلِ
مِصْبَاحُ ذَاتِ الظَّلَامِ

أَسْقَى صَلَوَاتٍ سَلامٍ
عَلَى الرَّسولِ الإِمَامِ
وَالآلِ حِزْبِ الهِمَامِ
وَالصَّحْبِ أَهْلِ الحُسَامِ

عُذْرًا أَنِي الذَّاكِرِينَ
للمَدْحِ والْحَاضِرِينَ
والسُّمّ المُطِيعِين
عَلَيَّ صَحِي بِالغَرَامِ

Saʿdayka yā dhal-gharām,
ilā ghiyāthi l-anām,
Muḥyiddīn khiyām,
al-khuṭb safwi l-kirām.

Wa huwa lladhī idh khāla jundī,
mā maʿaka yā ahla s-suhdī,
qad qāla yā jund ʿindī,
dīnār mīmin khitām.

Ḥattā atawhu jamīʿan,
li-an yatūbū rujūʿan,
mimmā janawhu shanīʿan,
l-s-sirri fī dhāl-maqām.

Raʾāhu bifajj saqīman,
minhu ibtighāʾan yuqīman,
lammā ghadā mustaqīman,
nādāhum: yā khawāmī.

Innī lī dīn ar-rashādī,
aḥyaytani kay yunādī,
lakum bihi kullu nādī,
yā Muḥyiddīn ḥāmī.

Wa qāla li-l-ladhi atāhu,
yashkuru bihimma fatāhu,
fī udhunihi qul matāhū,
tātīnī bi-l-ihtimām.

Qad qāla ʿAbdul-Qādirī,
yā Umm Maljam sīrī,
lahu l-luṭfu tadhīrī,
tanal ḥuṣūl al-marām.

Wa ʿāsha l-Khiḍr salām,
biḍʿan wa tisʿīna ʿām,
mimmā ḥabāhu l-ghulām,
ḥaffāẓ khayr al-kalām.

Bi-sinn sabʿa kamīl,
sabʿa shuhūr khalīl,
hādhā fayḍ al-jalīl,
miṣbāḥ dhāt aẓ-ẓalām.

Askā ṣalawāt salām,
ʿalā r-rasūl al-imām,
wa l-āl ḥizb al-humām,
wa ṣ-ṣaḥb ahl al-ḥusām.

ʿUdhra anī adh-dhākirīn,
li-l-madḥ wa l-ḥāḍirīn,
wa s-summi l-muṭīʿīn,
ʿalayya ṣaḥī bi-l-gharām.

1️⃣ Invocation of Ghawth al-Anām

“Gladly I answer your call, O Beloved,
to the Succor of mankind—
Muḥyī d-Dīn (ʿAbd al-Qādir Jīlānī),
the purest of the noble saints.”

→ The poem begins by turning to Ghawth al-Aʿẓam, the highest helper of the spiritual world.

2️⃣ The Scene of the Disciples Returning

“When my disciple arrived without his companions,
he was asked:
‘Where are the people of spiritual wakefulness?’
He said:
‘I have with me the coin whose seal is the letter Mīm.’”

→ “The coin whose seal is Mīm” = the spiritual stamp of Muḥammad (ﷺ)
symbolizing real walāya (sainthood).

“All the others later came to him,
seeking repentance
from what they had done—
for the secret of that maqām is heavy.”

→ The poet describes how even the disciples are overwhelmed by the saint’s aura.

“He found him in a desolate valley, sick,
seeking to be made upright.
When he became straightened,
the saint called to him:
‘O my beloveds!’”

“I have the religion of right guidance;
you revived me so that I may call—
and every gathering calls upon you,
O protector Muḥyī d-Dīn.”

→ Declares the Qādirī path as the path of rushd (guidance).

“He told the one who came to him,
and thanked him for his devotion:
‘Whisper in his ear:
When will he come to me with full attention?’”

→ A mystical exchange between disciples representing inner readiness.

“ʿAbd al-Qādir said:
‘O mother of the one who binds, go!
By my subtle grace
you will gain all your desires.’”

“And Khiḍr lived—peace be upon him—
ninety-odd years,
because the young devotee
